WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER SURGERY

After your surgery, you will be discharged home with dressings and an abdominal binder. Small suction drains are usually removed five to seven days after your surgery.

The use of long-acting local anesthetic pain pumps ("On-Q Pain Pump") greatly reduce any pain or discomfort. Any residual post-operative discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication. Patients are allowed to shower several days after the procedure. All sutures placed are internally observed with nothing to remove.
